My SL Aspirations AND Neko Fair!!

OK so today I started setting up for the Get NEKO'd Fair sponsored by MetaCard (the first Credit Card in SL). I am super excited about using my 100 prims to their fullest extent. Most of the spaces are taken by vendors, but mine is for my club. So I am making a mini club for people to hang out at. I am excited! Hooooooo! It got me thinking about how I am trying to do just about everything and anything to make money. Yet I still end up buying Lindens (reason #1 I have not been fashion blogging lately). So here's what I have going on right now: an adoption agency, a club, Slingo, a Yard Sale, and Rental Properties. The only thing that I ever get regular income from is the rental properties. Slingo is on and off (especially if I am playing lol). I took out most of my solo machines today because I was losing like 1k a day on those and wth is the point of that? Well the adoption agency is pretty much a waste of prims. I love it, but don't have the time to advertise and what-not for it. So, now on to the club. Not particularly profitable (depends on the week), but I just love having it. So all my other businesses are geared towards making money for the club. So my next venture is to learn how to animate. I dislike most animations on SL, so I want to make my own. Let's see how long it takes my poor lil ADD brain to wander away from that. I was playing with PS today and had a ton of fun, so clothes might be fun too. Too many clothing vendors out there though and I know mine won't be as good as the best, so what's the point right? So *sigh* I think I am going to rid myself of my house and adoption agency and open more rental properties. . .maybe a nice cozy community. Who knows? But either way I need a change. Umm wth was I supposed to be talking about?

I wanna look like I do in SL!

OK so I have actually fashioned my avatar to look a lot like me in RL, except I never wear blonde hair in SL (dunno why, it just never looks unique). But I want her clothes!! I wanna be a grungy biker chick/punk rock girl one day and a sophisticated business-woman the next. I have the business-woman thing down (since I teach in RL) but I want to let loose a little more on the weekends. So. . .I am getting a tattoo. . .can't wait to show you all. I'll explain the meaning after I get a good pic of it. But I also want the clothes to go with it. So let me know if you have any good punk rock/alternative/biker shop links for RL clothes. It sounds kind of weird to be rebelling at this age, but I am so sick and tired of having to hide my true self (the crazy kooky gal u usually see on SL) from my RL world. I have never really been conservative, i just fell into a profession that required it, but damnit I can be who I want when I am not working! Which isn't often. . . But whatever the reason for me writing this is, I just need a change in my life. I am bored with the me that I am now. Next Sat. I am going to get a new do and I really want to bring in one of my SL pics and see if she can do that! I cannot wait! Lemme know if you have any suggestions.

Here are a few of the items on sale that I bought or found entirely too cute to resist taking a picture of. I have been nothing but happy with her tops because she offers them in different layers and the artwork is great without seam problems. The only problem I have had has been with her skirts. I can't seem to position them correctly to fit over even my thin shape's butt. And well since I have a no mod shape (grrrrr) they just look kind of funny. Other than that they are fabulous and I love all her stuff. Great for mix and match too.

Suit Travels

Well ladies and gentleman there is a lot of new stuff out there right now. But it seems to me that most fashion blogs have covered that already and I agree that most of the stuff is cute. I may blog on new releases in the future.
So instead of doing the usually review I am going to take you on my frustrating journey to find a unique yet classic suit.
I begin my journey at Last Call thinking that they will have something perfect. . .because they usually do. Well they did in a way, they had exactly what I was looking for. . .but in white. I want black or something close to it. Well, I bought the white one, well, cuz it was ALMOST perfect and who knows? I may need a new white suit soon.
My next stop was Blaze, because I remembered seeing a suit there once that I liked. WHOOOSH! Well I found some really cute shorts and polos on my way over to the suit. I will blog about those momentarily. Told you I was ADD… the suit. . . well it was very well constructed and cute as most of Blaze’s stuff is, but way too simple. Gorgeous, just not what I am looking for. Next place. . .hmmmm
Nyte n Day! Well I just like going here. They had a very similar suit to the one at Blaze (for 195 more I might add), so that was a no go. And there new stuff was briefly intriguing, but frankly nothing unique. . .which disappointed me. . .cuz I love Nyte’s stuff. Good basic stuff though, nice textures. And I love the script in the skirt. Her prices are great so I bought two skirt sets that I love and a pretty sweater/jacket.


So here I am. . .SLINGOing because I gave up on the suit search in search of some more money lol. It’s a 3K pot. . .what am I supposed to do? Run away? I think not. Still haven’t won though. But I did get to write in my blog. So not a totally unproductive day.
SO, if you are reading this and thinking. . .OMG she should so go to ________________, then PLEASE write me a little comment on where to find the perfect suit that has classic styling with a little something extra. Oh yeah and here is the gorgeous suit I bought. . .LOVE IT! So something like that in black or grey.

OK, so this is my first attempt at a blog. I wasn’t sure what the heck I would decide to post about, but I know it won’t be too personal. Those of you that know me know I am not one of those touchy-feely types, but someone special thinks I need to open up more. So I am trying this quasi-annonymous forum. So there. I shared. lol.

So. . .here’s the dirt on me: I own land that I rent out, I have a Yard Sale that I rent spaces for, and I own THE NAUGHTY NEKO CLUB. I love my club, I don’t make much money (if any) off of it. . .but I love the people I work with and the set-up. That said, I am always up for suggestions. . .but don’t get pissed if I don’t use them. I like things done my way.

My latest SL obsession is fashion. I got invited to the Passionate Neko fashion show on Sun. and had such a great time! Thank you Saur. . .your stuff RAWKS. So now I am reading the fashion blogs and shopping my tail off. I know, I know, kitties are hated by some of the fashion comittee, BUT I don’t care. So to you!
